This book is a compilation of essays intended to drive home the point that vegetarianism has been an inherent requirement of spiritual progress in all religious traditions. This argument is substantiated by quotes and passages from the scriptures of the Sikh, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and other traditions. Quotations from well-known personalities in different walks of life add to the argument. The book also touches on the prohibition of alcohol in the Christian and Sikh scriptures.
