Radha Soami Deras are a Refuge for Migrants in Haryana

16,000 LABOURERS TAKE SHELTER AT THE SATSANG BHAWANS LOCATED IN DIFFERENT CITIES OF HARYANA

(Dainik Tribune, 31 March 2020) – The BJP-JJP coalition government… have made use of the ashrams of Radha Soami Satsang Beas a refuge for the migrants. Arrangements for food and shelter have been made for more than 16,000 migrant labourers in the different Radha Soami Satsang bhawans of Haryana. Radha Soami Dera management committee has also made arrangements for the labourers. Majority of the labourers staying at Radha Soami Satsang Ghars are from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar….

Home Minister, Anil Vij, said that more than 16,000 labourers are staying in Radha Soami Deras. Thousands of labourers have also taken shelter at the government safe houses in different districts. A 21-day lockdown is extremely important in the fight against the Coronavirus. No laxity will be tolerated in this matter. Haryana police have also sealed the interstate borders. No one is allowed to either enter nor exit.

Police have created inter-state roadblocks at 160 places. Not only teams of police but senior officers are also on a regular patrol. During this, the Health Minister, Anil Vij, spoke on the phone with the Central Health Minister. PPE kits have been made available in the state and are being used for the staff engaged in the treatment of patients affected with the coronavirus.

ARRANGEMENTS OF FOOD AND SHELTER FOR THOUSANDS AT RADHA SOAMI SATSANG BHAWANS

Amidst the fear of Coronavirus there is news of relief from Yamunanagar for the migrant labourers arriving from different states on foot and by other means. Large shelter homes and relief camps have been established after the government’s instructions and the migrant labourers have been provided refuge in them amidst full security. Arrangements for food as well as health services have also been made. These migrant labourers are being brought here in buses. Concerning these arrangements many officers along with DC Mukul Kumar and SP Yamunanagar were busy till late night. All borders of the district have been sealed. These people will be given shelter at Radha Soami Satsang Bhawan, Tejli, for 14 days until furthers orders from the government. Similar arrangements have also been made at Radha Soami Satsang Bhawan, Sasoli. People arriving at these locations are being examined by a team of doctors.
