I Find You
I find you in the middle of the roses
when no one’s talking.
I find you in that little bird perched
above, singing his heart out, just because.
I find you in the ocean’s rolling waters
making the lovely sound that quiets my heart.
I find you in the want to’s
not the have to’s.
I find you sometimes when I am not even looking -
you just come.
Quietly you sit by me, and though my
mind roars, and my heart weeps,
you comfort me.
I find you, when I’m not afraid to look,
and then I find you everywhere.
